How was your Valentine’s Day? According to ‘The Chef’, everything went amazingly well at the restaurant and a huge number of Chicago’s finest had a darn fine evening thanks to him. We, on the other hand, didn’t do much! I know, we plan on celebrating on Sunday, so we should be fine. But really-that’s the hard thing about being married to a chef. Your holiday takes a back seat to everyone else’s. We did just fine and sadly I sat home and ate hundreds of little chocolate candy bars that the kids brought home from school. I read each Valentine card as I stole the chocolate off of each one–I named each up and coming zit the name of the child that so generously gave my son the chocolate. I’m going to need to be looking into some Proactiv a little later to take care of the damage. Ok, not really! I was reading over at the Acne.com website and it is true that chocolate does not cause zits. To be quite honest, I was surprised at just how much information there is on the site about this skin condition that has dogged me since adolescence! To end it though, Acne.com has an entire section on prevention. I’m going to have to pour over that one to help my kids as well!
